Explore with Messy Competition
Calling all young explorers!
Adventure is calling! This summer, we want YOU to head outside, explore the world around you, and uncover something amazing - then draw it! Whether it's an unusual insect, a hidden path, a new place you visit, or a summer adventure, turn your discovery into a masterpiece and enter our Explore with Messy competition. What will you discover?
Prizes
Three winners (one per age group: 3-4, 5-6, 7+) will have their artwork and photo featured in the October issue of OKIDO magazine, becoming published OKIDO artists seen by thousands of readers across the UK! They’ll also receive an OKIDO Prize Bundle worth £30!
Nine runners-up will also win the same prize bundle to celebrate their brilliant creativity.
How to Enter
This competition is exclusive to OKIDO subscribers!
Create a piece of summer art inspired by the theme Explore with Messy and email it to info@okido.com by 31st August 2025.
Include “Explore with Messy Competition” in the subject line, plus your child’s first name, age, and the email linked to your OKIDO subscription.

Terms and Conditions
Who can enter
This competition is open to children aged 3–10 years who are active subscribers to OKIDO magazine.
Age categories
Entries will be judged in the following age categories:
- Ages 3–4
- Ages 5–6
- Ages 7+
How to enter
Children should create a poster drawing of their summer adventure, inspired by the theme "Explore with Messy". Parents or guardians must email the entry to info@okido.com with the subject line “Explore with Messy Competition”. The email must include:
- A photo or scan of the child’s artwork
- The child’s first name and age
- A valid email address linked to an active OKIDO subscription
Deadline
The competition opens on 1 July 2025 and closes at 11:59pm on 31 August 2025. Any entries received after this time will not be considered.
Prizes
There will be one winner and three runners-up in each age category.
Winners (1 per category) will:
- Have their poster printed in the October 2025 issue of OKIDO magazine
- Be contacted to provide a photo of the child to accompany their winning artwork
- Receive an OKIDO Prize Bundle
Runners-up (3 per category) will receive an OKIDO Prize Bundle.
Winner selection
Entries will be judged by the OKIDO team based on creativity, originality, and age-appropriate execution. The team’s decision is final.
Notification & delivery
Winners and runners-up will be contacted by email by the 16th September 2025, and prizes will be sent shortly after. If we do not receive a response within 7 days of contact, we may select a replacement winner or runner-up.
Use of entries
By entering, you give permission for OKIDO to use your child’s first name, age, and artwork across our platforms – including social media, website, email newsletters, and other promotional materials.
If your child is selected as a winner, we will request a photo of your child to accompany their artwork in the October issue of the magazine and for marketing & promotional purposes.
Data & privacy
Personal information will only be used to contact winners and send prizes. It will be shared with our mailing house for fulfilment purposes only and will not be used for any other reason or shared with third parties.
No purchase necessary
There is no additional cost to enter this competition, but your child must be an active OKIDO magazine subscriber at the time of entry and the winning entries being published in the October issue.
