OKIDO was founded by scientist Dr Sophie Dauvois (PhD BSc PG Dip.) and artist Rachel Ortas, who saw a clear gap in children’s publishing: engaging, age-appropriate STEM learning for younger children that truly inspires curiosity.
Sophie has spent her career translating complex scientific ideas into playful, accessible experiences for young minds.
Paired with Rachel’s imaginative artistic vision, OKIDO was created to spark curiosity, fuel creativity, and nurture a lifelong love of science and art.
Today, OKIDO has inspired and educated generations of children, helping shape confident, curious learners who see science not as a subject, but as an adventure.

- The subscription price includes every shipping cost. No hidden fees, no unexpected charges.
- We dispatch new magazines the first week of each month.
- All subscriptions auto-renew, but you can cancel anytime by logging in to your account or getting in touch with our Customer Support Team.
- If you are purchasing the subscription as a gift, simply check out as normal, and ensure the Shipping Address is where you want the subscription to be delivered, and the Billing Address is your address.
- First issues are sent within 72 hours if you're in the UK, or in the next monthly dispatch if you're overseas.
